What is iFlightBriefer?

iFlightBriefer provides iPad with quick and easy access to aviation information:

Text WX: Simple & Quick

Text weather can be easily retrieved from a list of airport identifiers (i.e. KAUS) by entering the list (use spaces to separate each airport identifier) in the upper left hand text area.

You can then select to retrieve METARS, TAFS, PIREPS or choose to retrieve all of them.

You can also change the number of historical “hours” you want to retrieve as well as setting the PIREP path width information:

Static Image Weather

Static Image based weather information is also available from iFlightBriefer. Prog Charts can be selected from the left-hand list. AIRMET and SIGMET information can be selected from the right-hand list:


Winds Forecasts: A breeze…

Wind forecasts are available – just select the forecast time frame and the desired altitude.

NOTE: occasionally, theforecast timeframe listed in the upper left-hand selector ofiFlightBriefer may be “out of sync” with the actual images retrieved from NOAA. In this case, the timeframe listed in the image from NOAAshould be considered valid over iFlightBriefer
